Shoegazers will love this Reviewer: sykospark from Los Angeles This is a very very good tribute album, especially if you are into shoegazer type bands (My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, Cocteau Twins). The majority of the songs have female vocals, which tend to really compliment the music, and machine generated instrumentation which fleshes out many of the songs. The first few tracks are trying, but by the middle of the album, it started to pick up, and by the end, it was worth the purchase. Remember, this is a TRIBUTE album. It is the artists' take on the song, and most of the covers were extraordinarily well done. But like I said, mostly shoegazers will like these covers . It was also great to see something out by Miranda Sex Garden. I would buy it for them alone. |
don't worry, all these bands are totally unknown for everyone |
anyone can ...at playing radiohead Reviewer: A music fan from missouri this cd is horrible, i am a long time big radiohead fan and when this came out i was excited and wanted to know how some other bands especially coal chamber's meegs would do radiohead's songs. well the only good cover on here is secret society's cover of planet telex and he used samples from the original song in his cover. all the other songs on here are complete garbage. and meegs version of "everything in its right place" doesnt sound a thing like the original song. its awful. do not get this cd! |
